To direct visitors to our newly designated visitor parking area, I designed signage throughout one of our parking garages. Upon entry, drivers see our Welcome to CalPERS wall in our “dynamic blue” inspirational brand color. I included a yellow “V” in a white circle as a visual icon denoting visitor parking, which is easily recognizable throughout the visitor parking area.

I also proposed automatic sliding doors for the garage-level entrance to the building, which is now more accessible and welcoming.

Visitor Parking Area & Vehicle Passage

New blue signage directs and defines visitor parking. I designed the painted signage for the support columns in the visitor parking zones as well as suspended signage above vehicle traffic lanes. I worked closely with the sign vendor to ensure an even visual “baseline” for the blue column signage.

Parking Space

The sign vendor used a custom lettering stencil, which means the “o” included gaps at the top and bottom. With this in mind, I added specifications to hand paint to complete the counter of each “o”.
